Sensory Preference

Everyone has their own way of learning and processing information. Some people learn visually by seeing pictures and samples to gain an understanding ,while others use their auditory senses to hear and understand. Once you understand your brain-learning preference and how it plays an essential role in communication, your relationships imrove. For example, visual learners being "told" something may not "get it." Show a visual learner something and they will have a higher likelihood of understanding.

Let me give you a scenario:

A visual wife is married to an auditory husband. She works hard to make sure the home looks just right. The husband walks in from work, throws his jacket over the chair, kicks off his shoes (leaving them where they fall), walks up to his wife, gives her a hug and begins a conversation with her. He talks about his day and asks about hers. Everything should be great, right? Yet the wife is angry. Why? He didn't validate her brain's sensory or communication preference. She didn't hear because her communication broke down as soon as she saw that her husband didn't care about her feelings as she worked so hard to keep things visually appealing and he messed it up.

Our workshops such as and coaching sessions such as, Sensory & Communication Preference Consultation will help you to understand how different brains communicate. If we understand this, misunderstandings are kept to a minimum.
